Rev. Roger A. Vest, Senior Pastor
Roger Vest came to CFUMC in June, 2008. He is married to Bonnie, who teaches at Chatsworth Elementary School. They have two children, Grady, age 15 and in the 10th grade at Murray County High School and Mary Frances, age 11 and in the 7th grade at Gladden Middle School. Roger grew up in Jonesboro, Georgia, where his mother still lives. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics and Math from Berry College (1988) in Rome, Georgia and received his Master's degree in Divinity from Duke University (1991) in Durham, North Carolina. Roger has served as a United Methodist pastor in the North Georgia Annual Conference since January 1992 at the following churches: Cokes Chapel UMC in Sharpsburg; Rome FUMC in Rome; Harmony Grove UMC in Auburn; Shiloh UMC in Covington; Harlem UMC in Harlem. He has also served in various capacities within the community and throughout the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church including founding a prayer ministry within the North Georgia conference called the PrayerForce. Currently, he is serving as the chairperson for the North Georgia Conference Task Force on Persons Living in Poverty. Their big event each year is the United Methodist Day of Love and Justice at the Georgia State Capital. In Chatsworth, Rev. Vest is working with Murray County Council of Volunteers, the NorthWest Georgia United Way, the Murray County Family Connection, Dalton/Whitfield Habitat for Humanity and the Chatsworth Rotary Club. He is always looking for ways for the church to impact our community.

Rev. Furman Norris, Pastor Emeritus
Furman Norris was pastor at CFUMC from ____ to ____ and was appointed Pastor Emeritus of the church in 2001. Highlights under his ministry were spiritual development within the church, a well-received "Camp Meeting" with hundreds attending, and the complete renovation of the church sanctuary. Because of illness, Rev. Norris took early retirement, but he continues to be actively involved in the church, along with his wife, Bettie.

Adam Tankersley, Minister to Children & Youth
Adam Tankersley has been our Minister to Children and Youth since January 2004. He is a Murray County native and is married to Krista who when not helping Adam with ministry is a Senior Credit Analyst with First Security Group. They have a daughter who was born in 2005 named Natalie. Adam received his Associate of Science in Business Administration from Dalton State College before receiving God's call into youth ministry. He graduated from Shorter College in Rome, GA in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Christian Ministry and minoring in Business. He served as a part-time youth minister at Pisgah Baptist Church in Coosa, GA before moving back to Chatsworth in late 2000. Before accepting the call to CFUMC he and Krista volunteered in several children and youth ministries at Holly Creek Baptist Church.
