Excerpt from the 2008 Composite Ministry Report

CFUMC has a rich history of ministry and service and this has never been more evident than in this past year. 2008 marked a year of change and growth as we saw Rev. Larry and Bixie Pearson retire and we welcomed Rev. Roger Vest, Bonnie, Grady and Mary Frances to our church family. We saw the many months of planning, debating and praying by our Trustees conclude with the opening of the Fincher Family Life Center, our new gathering place of fellowship made possible by the love and generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fincher. We have lost loved ones and we have gained church members this past year. We have seen our church grow through both new and existing ministries; and we know that we are serving the will of God and making a difference in the lives of the people of or community through our prayers, our service and our tithes.
